Johan Tredoux obtained a B.A. in Hebrew at the University of Johannesburg, a M.Div.
from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Manchester in 2015. He has served as a pastor and an adjunct professor of theology at Mid-America
Nazarene University and currently serves as a chaplain at the Research Medical Center in the Kansas City area.
The book, Mildred Bangs Wynkoop: Her Life and Her Thought, is based upon Tredoux’s
Ph.D. thesis which was entitled “Holiness as Love: An Analysis of Mildred Bangs Wynkoop’s Interpretation of John Wesley’s Doctrine of Christian Holiness.” The aim of the book is “to examine the extent to which Wynkoop’s version of Wesleyan theology of Christian holiness was a faithful, twentieth-century reinterpretation of John Wesley’s doctrine of sanctification” (231).
