dc.description.abstractThis study focuses on the investigation of the Christian and Muslim relation and its implication on socioeconomic development for kitui county residents in Eastern Province. Kitui County is semi-arid and the economics activities are complex, ranging from socioeconomic and cultural, religious and political factors. On the foundation of this investigation, various conclusions and recommendation are considered which will enhance Christian Muslim relation on socioeconomic for Kitui County. A non-probability sample method was used to collect data. The study selected 96 participants as representatives of the population that translated to 100%. Queartionnaires, key informants, observation, focused group’s discussion and secondary data were utilized. Qualitative data was grouped into similar categories for analysis. Qualitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics (using statistical techniques) in order to determine frequencies and percentages. These frequencies and percentages have been presented using tables and figures. Effort that can encourage Christian-Muslim relation should address each of the contributing and encouraging factors to enhance socioeconomic development in Kitui County. The research presents a positive crucial view of how Christian and Muslims can work together economically, socially, psychologically, culturally and spiritually as well as how this effort would lead to enhance the Christian and Muslim relations on socioeconomic development in Kitui County.en_US
